There are 8167 faculty and staff, among whom are 2285 teachers. One faculty member is an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, 3 are members of the Academic Discipline Evaluation Group of the Degree Committee of the State Council, 2 are members of the Directing Committee of the National Medical Degree Education. There are 132 Ph.D. supervisors, 456 master supervisors. Twenty young or middle-aged experts have been entitled outstanding contributors by the country, the Ministry of Health or the province, and 104 are entitled to special allowances from the government because of their great achievements. One faculty member won the Nightingale Prize.
